How can I send a request?

1. Visit a person’s profile.

2. Click the button that says "Request". Do NOT click the "Message" button.

3. Enter the "Arrival Date" and the "Departure Date"

4. Type in your message.

   • IMPORTANT: Make sure you provide detailed information about your request, such as:

     • Why are you visiting the area?

       You don't have to provide lots of details; just a general idea

     • Why did you choose them?

       What made you want to stay with them?
       Do you have any common interests?
       Show them that you read their profile!

     • Make your plans clear

       How do you plan to spend your time in the city/town?
       How much time will you have to spend with your host?
       Is anyone coming with you? If yes, who and how do you know them?

5. Click the "Send" button.

Remember:
Sending a personalized request (rather than a copy-and-paste request) is much more likely to receive a reply and be accepted. You are also much more likely to receive a response if your profile is completely filled out and has plenty of information about you. Be sure to follow the Community Guidelines at all times.
